Safe Horizons For Children was created around one belief: vulnerable children should never become easier to ignore with time.
Many disappear through fragmented systems, unstable placements, overloaded agencies, disconnected records, isolation, exploitation risks, and a lack of long-term visibility.
Safe Horizons For Children exists to help increase awareness, advocacy, accountability, education, and public visibility around vulnerable children who may otherwise fall through the cracks.
When children move repeatedly between homes, shelters, jurisdictions, agencies, or temporary environments, visibility can weaken over time.
Our long-term mission is to help strengthen public awareness, advocacy, education, reporting visibility, and community involvement surrounding vulnerable and missing children.
Safe Horizons For Children aims to create a growing network of advocates, volunteers, educators, organizations, and communities focused on visibility, prevention, awareness, and support.
We believe accountability becomes stronger when more people are informed, engaged, and willing to recognize warning signs before children disappear unnoticed.
We believe prevention begins with visibility, education, accountability, and communities willing to pay attention.
